STEP 1 - Content & Text

Totaltravel.com websites have 2 elements - design pages and login driven Pages.

Design pages are those with set content. If you need changes made to these in the future, we will have to do them for you. The Login Driven pages consist of Photo Gallery, Rates, Contact and Links. You can alter the content of these pages yourself at anytime via the Totaltravel.com client login system.

A. Design Pages - Decide on page titles and the text, which they will contain. Please email, fax or post this information to us.

Example 1: Home >> Accommodation >> Facilities >> Nearby
Example 2: Home >> Weddings >> Airport Transfers >> Tours

B. Login Driven Pages – Photo Gallery >> Pricing >> Contact >> Links

These pages are automatically added to your website. Please indicate if you do not require a rates page or a photo gallery page.

The links page is a list of all the websites built by Totaltravel.com in your state. Your "links" page is an important tool for search engine optimisation, it will over time, increase the page rank of your site. If you have any other links you would like to add to this page, please let us know.

STEP 2 – DESIGN

Totaltravel "Basic Websites" are inexpensive because they stick to a basic design format. If you would like one customised for you, no problem - but as time is money, it will cost a little more. You will need to discuss this with your sales consultant.

The design you choose will determine the basic elements like the navigation links and the overall look & feel of your website although, the layout of the body of each page, the colours and images will of course, will be adjusted to suit your requirements. When choosing a design, notice:

  • Where the links to other pages are. (Across the top? Down the side?)
  • What the shape of the overall design is like. (Square, Rounded, Straight)
  • What the overall style is like. (Corporate, Classy, Elegant, Fun?)

STEP 3 - Logo & Font Type

Enable continuity between your brochures, logo and new website.

1. Please email a copy of your logo (the larger the better).

2. If possible, obtain any files from your latest brochure from the company who printed it and email to us.

3. If you can't email your logo or brochure files please post us a copy of your latest brochure.

STEP 4 – Photos

Good quality images on your website sell your business.

1. If you have digital photos, please email large size (over 300x200 pixel), good quality, high-resolution photos.

2. If you don't have a digital camera, take photos with your regular camera and send the undeveloped film to Byron Bay Camera Centre & Kodak Express. They will put your photographs onto CD, and forward it onto us. (When we have completed building your site this will be returned to you).

3. If you have photographs you have already taken which you would like to use, please send them in the post to us and we will scan.

Tips: If you're going to take photos yourself, think about the setting and weather. Photos are best taken in the morning or in the late afternoon on a sunny day. But, if the sun just won't shine, we can enhance the images for you.

The Pictures should be in a high resolution and of a big size. Best is 150 to 300dpi. Minimum size 300 x 300 pixels. Don't crop them. We will crop them for you.
